The U.S. government shutdown officially ended November 12, 2025, allowing federal workers to return to their jobs after the restoration of funding. Since the furloughed workers' comeback, government employees have begun to distribute retroactive pay, with numerous employees experiencing delays. As agencies continue to catch up on backlogs and staffing concerns, the U.S. government expects a full recovery in 2026.

Following the release of over 20,000 emails from sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, reports and alleged romances fly surrounding President Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton. A resurfaced 2018 email exchange between Epstein and his brother Mark Epstein discussed whether Trump’s trusted financial advisor, Steve Bannon, knew whether Russian President Vladimir Putin possessed “photos of Trump blowing Bubba.” Clinton, known by the nickname Bubba, now faces speculation of an extramarital affair with Trump.

Following two months of teasers and a top list of university offers, magnet senior and Division 1 (D1) commit Jasmine Robinson announced her decision of which college she signed to pursue track and field. The young track star began to shine her freshman year and has since earned the support of numerous students and teachers around NC who anxiously awaited her decision. NC radiates pride from Robinson’s success and her ultimate decision to join the Georgia Bulldog family.

As the NC magnet seniors prepared to say goodbye to their graduating class, they embarked on one last trip: Washington, D.C. Throughout four days, the seniors toured influential monuments in the National Mall, visited insightful museums that aligned with their history classes and created final memories during their last fall semester. The Chant wishes the 2026 magnet seniors good luck as they finish out their time at NC.

After a rough season that featured both wins and losses, the NC varsity football team (6-3) earned its time to shine during senior night. Featuring seniors involved in sports, including sports medicine and other activities, the stands were filled to the brim with friends and family. With a unique ending score against the Etowah Eagles, the NC Warriors prepare to play on October 30 against the Wheeler Wildcats.

e 2005, the competition ballroom dance reality television show, “Dancing with the Stars” (DWTS) has brought fans together from around the world to watch celebrities and their professionals hit the dance floor each week. The 34th season of DWTS premiered September 16 with celebrities including Robert Irwin, Dylan Efron, Whitney Leavitt and various others whom fans adored. As the season came to a close, only five out of 14 celebrities successfully earned a spot in the season finale of DWTS.

While these tools can prove deeply valuable to burgeoning adults, they also necessitate responsible use. Regardless, credit cards allow users to build a credit score and manage their money with increased freedom.
