David Bell, NC’s newest principal, started to enforce policies that students have enjoyed freedom from for years. As he began to enforce these rules, both students and teachers started to critique these enforcements. Bell began to administer the phone and dress code policy specifically to try and cut down on distractions within the school and classrooms individually.

After the U.S. Supreme Court’s emergency ruling of September 8, 2025, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents gained the approval to resume immigration raids in Los Angeles, California. This decision means that agents can target individuals based on their looks, accent or other personal factors. Although lower courts and dissenting opinions express that these raids violate the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution, the majority decided to allow the Trump Administration to temporarily continue raids, creating a precedent for future civil and immigration rights cases.

Featuring muddy shoes, entertaining costumes and a familiar campus, the NC Cross Country (NCXC) team staged a relay event at home during a week without a competitive race, ensuring a quality workout and bolstered team spirit. The team was organized into 23 groups, each splitting an 8,000-meter run. As the event came to a close, runners received awards and walked away with a strengthened team bond, excited for the remainder of their season.
